If you’re here it’s likely that you thought you may need counselling or therapy. Although, it’s natural to ask for help from another human for any given issue throughout life, somehow, when it comes to mental health, asking for help becomes challenging. As a psychologist, my hope is to support you through this.
You might be thinking how the process looks like. We all carry a story — about who we are, the problems we need help with and emotions we’d rather not feel. These are some questions I've asked myself, in my own experience as a therapy patient, and they may well become part of our conversations too. So far, I find this painting by Marcos Alvarado to really grasp the idea.
My hope is for us to create a space where you feel safe enough to express yourself openly, and when you’re ready, to feel your emotions rather than avoiding them. The pace, and the way you choose to tell your story are entirely yours to decide.
Being an immigrant myself, I understand firsthand the struggles and triumphs that come with building a new life. Whether you're dealing with inner turmoil or the challenges of settling in a new place, I'm here to help.
